Australia`s Aaron Finch announces retirement from International Cricket

 
Aaron Finch, the captain of Australia`s T20 World Cup-winning team, has announced his retirement from the T20 Internationals, ending a 12-year international cricket career for Australia. The opening batsman had earlier declared his intention to leave the 50-over format in September of last year. Finch represented Australia in five Test matches as well.
 
It`s important for the new captain and opener to give ample time for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The ICC tournament is scheduled to take place in June in West Indies and USA.

India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in Women`s T20 World Cup in Cape Town

India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the Women`s Cricket T20 World Cup at Newlands in Cape Town, South Africa.

 

 

India scored 151 runs in 19 overs to reach the 150-run goal, losing 3 wickets in the process. Jemimah Rodrigues led the way for the champions with an undefeated 53 runs. The other scores were Richa Ghosh with an undefeated 31 and Shafali Verma with 33 runs. Nashra Sandhu claimed two wickets for Pakistan, and Sadia Iqbal took one.

Jean Eric Vergne wins action-packed Formula E in Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, India, on Saturday, the seasoned Jean Eric Vergne of DS Penske won an exciting Formula E race. With this, a prominent motorsports event made a triumphant return to India.

 

 

Despite having less than 0.5% of the car`s energy left, Vergne managed to stave off a fierce challenge from Nick Cassidy of Envision Racing to take the lead and cross the finish line first. Sebastian Buemi`s 17-second time penalty for "over power" allowed Antonio Felix Da Costa of Porsche to move up to the last podium slot.
